COVID - 19 UPDATE

Please be aware of my updated policies...

1. If you have booked your wedding date with me but decide to postpone then you will get a refund of your deposit if the original date cannot legally go ahead due to a lockdown. I will also move the deposit to the postponed date if I am free.

2. If I cannot make your new date and your original date cannot legally go ahead you will receive a refund.

3. If your original wedding date is legally allowed to go ahead and I cannot make your new postponed date then the deposit will not be refunded.

4. If your original date is legally allowed to go ahead and I can make your postponed date then I will move your deposit to the new date.

So in short the deposit is only refundable if your wedding date cannot legally go ahead.

I have tried to think of the fairest way to deal with postponements, I hope this is understandable .

Thank You

Wedding Terms & Conditions

1.   Securing the booking of the event

The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a £40 deposit to the makeup artist and returned a signed contract.

The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable after 5 days have elapsed from the date of contract signing. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved when a signed contract and payment are received. This is required to secure the event.

The deposit being paid is acceptance to all terms and conditions on my website.
If the client cancels before a trial has taken place, the deposit will not be refunded.
Arranging a trial without paying the deposit does not reserve the makeup artist’s services for the event.

3.   Payment

Payments can be made in cash or via bank transfer, cheques will not be accepted.
The deposit paid by the client is taken off of the wedding day fee.
The trial is paid for at the time of trial.

4.  Responsibility of the client

The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products.  This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition.
The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.

5. Cancellations

At any point the client can cancel the event by informing the the makeup artist.
If the client cancels a wedding booking with 30 days notice, there will be no cancellation fees. However any less and the client will have to pay 50% of the agreed fee.

If a second MUA is required to get everyone ready on time, there is no additional cost for this. However there is a separate £50 additional deposit, encase of any changes in numbers nearer the time and the second MUA is no longer needed and has to be cancelled. This covers the costs of another MUA in the event of a cancellation.
Cancellations by the makeup artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering their performance and where no other suitable alternative can be given -will result in a refund to the client of the trial and booking fee. No further compensation will be offered.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the makeup artist, every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the makeup artist’s part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations

6.  Exclusivity

Exclusivity is not guaranteed for the whole day of the event, therefore timings will be seriously considered when agreeing to any booking.
It is unlikely that there will be another event on the day; and any second event undertaken by the makeup artist will not affect the first event
An exclusivity fee can be arranged if preferred

7.  Photography

The client agrees that the makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artist’s website and social media pages.

8.  Travel Expenses

The Makeup Artist will travel for free within a 10mile radius of Burwell, Cambridgeshire. A charge of 45p per mile will be added outside of this area including the return journey.
The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at time of booking.  This is to include, should it be required, congestion charging and parking charges.

9. Venue Change

Quite often venues will not allow us into the bridal suite early enough on the morning of the wedding. If we set up at one location and pack up to drive to the wedding venue to then set up again then a fee of £25 per artist will be added to the total wedding fee. A fee is added to cover time spent setting up / packing down / setting up again as this will incur an earlier start time overall.

10. Assistants

On some occasions I may need to bring an assistant to help out at your wedding morning if time is not on our side. There are no additional hire fees added for me to bring an assistant however an extra travel fee may incur depending on where they are travelling from. I will notify you of full travel costs when quoting.
